ÜBER P.S. (Eng)
DPoverty in India as a whole can move and shock. Thousands of men, women and children sleep on the streets and it's hard not to trip over them as they walk around the city in the night. Many have leprosy, malaria, tuberculosis and other diseases. Many are hungry and have to fight for everything in everyday life just to survive. Despite their enormous difficulties, they do what they can to help each other and to remain incredibly friendly.
A Zurich photographer Kurt Sauter, who visited Calcutta for the first time in the mid-1990s, inspired many of his Swiss friends to help the poor of India. They wanted to help these people by sharing their privileges. That's why the idea of Privilege Sharing was born. Some money was collected and annual visits began to help the needy in this part of India.
Slowly and over the years, people in Switzerland, Germany, Latvia, England and, of course, India are supporting their goals not only through money, but also through professional help from the people who share their privileges by making their abilities available. For example: cooks, teachers, doctors, actors, singers etc. The works have also attracted the attention of Indian and Swiss press.
Over the years, those affected became known to the homeless and needy in Calcutta and their annual visits were eagerly awaited.
Since 2004, work has shifted to the village of Janpur near Bodhgaya in the Bihar state. This is about 8 hours by train from Kolkata and 15 hours from Delhi. Some land was purchased and a school was opened in October 2004, and efforts are now focused on this region in India.
The work also takes place outside of India in Bangladesh, Latvia and Switzerland.

"PRIVILEGE-SHARING"
"P-S" is a purely ideological ethical connection, regardless of any organizations, politics and
Religions.
The basic idea is to unbureaucratically share his privileges without the slightest expectation.
The only rule that there are no fixed rules. Independent luck with his "language" of
Love, compassion and humility should govern things.
Only without the slightest compulsion can a flower bloom.
IT IS THE BASIC RIGHT OF ALL CREATURES TO BE HAPPY.
